The Main House:
The family home or owner’s residence is an 80 year old Queenslander that has been renovated and is the original home of one of the original settlers of the area of Ocean View “Mt Mee”.
The top floor has 1 master bedroom with large walk in robe and ensuite and 2 other bedrooms, a 2nd bathroom, kitchen, lounge, dining room and computer room. Decorated in keeping with the style of the house and its era. With VJ decorative panelling in most rooms, polished floors in lounge, carpet in bedrooms, internal stair case. The bathrooms are decorated with old world charm; sinks are set into solid wood cabinets with heritage style decorative tiling and mini orb around the bath. The kitchen features all the modern requirements with a walk in pantry, wooden cabinets, dishwasher, gas stove, etc and has spectacular views from the sink. There is a verandah at the front and rear with more views.
The lower floor has an office and guest reception area, TV room, laundry and storage room. This area could be converted into a self contained unit if desired.
Well structured gardens surround the house, complimenting the house, featuring standard figs, hedges and tropical plants. The property has many well established large trees, citrus trees, avocados, custard apple, chestnut and macadamia nut trees. Including a plantation of 100 cabinet timber trees.
Surrounding the home is an authentic timber shed, a large 5 bay shed, stables, tack room and cattle yards.
The Cabins:
All 3 cabins are under 5 years old and have been designed in a homely country style. Combine all the cabins and they can cater for 22 people a night. All cabins are fully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, fire place; TV, DVD and 2 cabins have air conditioning.
Ridge Top Cabin – 1 bedroom sleeps 4 people. Consisting of 1 Queen bed, single bunk beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge. This cabin is situated on a ridge with spectacular views of the Dayboro Valley through to Brisbane in the distance. Great for a couple or family.
Snuggle Inn Cabin – 2 bedrooms, sleeps 7 people. Consisting of 1 Queen bed in one room, a double and single in the other and a double sofa bed in the lounge. This cabin looks across the large dam. Great for 2 couples or a larger family.
Tallow Wood Cabin - 4 bedrooms, sleeps 12 people. Consisting of 2 bedrooms with a double and a single bed and another 2 bedrooms with single bunk beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge. This cabin has spectacular views towards Brisbane. Great fro large family groups or social groups, such as a yoga group or workshops.
Farm activities that are offered: paddling the raft on the dam; patting and feeding the farm animals; collecting eggs; pony rides; 4-wheeler bike ride; milking the cow.
