A Little About Myself
I have almost thirty years experience in business management in the accommodation, tourism,
hospitality and service industries and in education as a teacher in secondary schools and
TAFE Colleges.
My Business Background
- Worked as a Real Estate Sales Consultant in Tewantin, Queensland.
- Taught in Victorian and Queensland Secondary Schools.
- Taught at a TAFE College in Victoria, including researching courses and lectured.
- Owned and operated a successful restaurant and bar (from conception to completion), and
employed staff (apprentices, trainees and work experience students).
- Owned and operated a successful 4 1/2 star Bed and Breakfast in Noosa.
- Owned and operated a small business (from conception to completion), and employed and taught
short courses.
- Have managerial, marketing, recruiting and accounting experience in education, hospitality
and other industries.
- My ability to communicate is reflected in successful Secondary and Tertiary Teaching
positions, where I have gained the ability to make presentations in a confident and competent
manner.
My Life Skills
- I have travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas, and have only just returned
from an extended overseas trip covering United Kingdon, Europe and North America.
- I am considered by my peers as a very well organised, practical, hard working, dedicated and
honest woman who is able to "think on her feet" and easily adapt to new challenges.
- Experiencing the many Australia and international travellers I have hosted in Victoria and
in Noosa, helps me understand intimately the expectations and desires of Australian and
foreign clientele.
My Interests
My family consisting of four grown up boys and a lovely daughter-in-law, all aspects of
sport especially golf, tennis, outdoor pursuits, travel, fine food and good wine and meeting
people.

- Licensed Real Estate Agent (QLD) and gaining equivalent licenses in other States.
- Registered Real Estate Salesperson (QLD)
- Registered Real Estate Representative (VIC)
- Masters of Business Administration (part way completed)
